RC After 9 months and MEP intervention (Northern Ireland)

Post by tina999 » Thu May 16, 2013 9:13 pm

RC received April 2013 , Application in July 2012.
After local MEP intervention eventually came through EEA2 Visa in passport.
Took the intervention of MEP, 2 complaints, letters from solicitor, email from solicitors, never responded to!
The MEP#s first reply indicated that a Security Check was what was holding up and to wait 8 weeks. (I knew this couldn't be true)
I contacted the UKBA in Belfast as I knew this wasn't the case , they had been done in Jan 2012!. The UKBA Belfast indicated that an 'agency' is used for Northern Ireland, and sometimes it takes 'a while' to complete Security Checks!! They processed it there and then while I was on the phone............
Visa arrived a week later.

Reconsideration

Post by Mr. Ali » Sat May 18, 2013 11:53 am

Another Example of Incompetence of the UKBA. Emailed Rob Whitman for the Reconsideration of the Decision. I got an email back from the Casewrok Operation saying that your application has been reconsidered by a case worker and will be sent to my Representative(they mentioned a solicitors address). They have also given me a tracking number of the post.

But what's shocking for me is that i never had anyone acting as a representative on my application. I don't know this solicitor. I have applied it myself.

I have tried to track it but its not active or delivered yet. Not to mention that not all of my documents have been returned with my decision too. Half of them are missing.

UKBA i have no words to appreciate your good work.

Hi Babu

Write an email stating that its been over 6 months you haven't heard anything from UKBA. Don't forget to mention your details.

Hi guys, we received EEA1&EEA2 yesterday morning.

I would like to know if I stop working in my current work and try to find a new part time job, will it be a problem for my husband who have his EEA2 now?

And what about traveling? do we have a kind of maximum weeks or can we stay more than 1month?

Shani it should be six months but some time if the application is not complicated/ any thing wrong they will reply earlier. and in some cases longer.

In theory the EEA2 RC application should be decided within 6 months.
