How many signatures do you need for the "powers that be" to take any notice?

Hi,

Check

http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/steps

Step 5: Petition close
When a serious petition closes, usually provided there are 200 signatures or more, officials at Downing Street will ensure you get a response to the issues you raise. Depending on the nature of the petition, this may be from the Prime Minister, or he may ask one of his Ministers or officials to respond.

We will email the petition organiser and everyone who has signed the petition via this website giving details of the Government’s response.

interesting that the government has raised the level to 200 signatories, it was 100 when I set up http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/BritishSpouse/

I urge everyone that visits this site, and who actually cares about the people who suffer at the hands of unelected bureacrats in British Embassies abroad, to sign these petitions.

Good luck

I too urge anyone who cares about this issue to sign these petitions, together we will be strong.
Anyone unfairly treated by the system and seperated from their loved ones unnecessarily.

Just thought i would bump this thread incase any new members not aware of it.
I am still waiting for the british high commission in chenni to send their bundle to AIT. Our baby is due next month.
It makes me sick to be honest, the BHC are aware my mother is terminally ill and i am 8 months pregnant and yet it would appear they are still going to make me wait till the date they have been given to submit documents.
