Yes, I agree with you. Previously I do notice there are certain days for the coming of approvals. But I did not check calendar. I guess its logical that they store the decision letters for every a few days, then pass to royal mail. Someones' approvals were delivered just two days after the decision date, someones' experienced around 1 week or even 10 days after the decision date.
Anyway, just finger crossed. We have no way to communicate to UKBA progress, no matter within 6 months or not.

Relieved now..........UKBA letter confirming approval has arrived.

Eligibility criteria: 5yrs WP + 1 yr ILR
Method of application: Postal (Joint Application)
Date of application: 05 March 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: 06 March 2013
Date of acknowledgement: dated 11 March 2013
Date of debit of fees: 12 March 2013
Date of approval: dated 10 May 2013, received on 14th
Date of ceremony:TBC
Booked myself and wife for the Ceremony on 12th June (Earliest available date). I still haven't received the invitation letter but the register office booked me anyway and advised to contact UKBA if I do not get the letter by the end of this week. The invitation letter and some sort of Photo ID would be required at the event.

Aren't there Montly topics for naturalisation timelines

Post by tushars » Wed May 22, 2013 2:31 pm

I can see one for April (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... n+timeline) and one for May (http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... n+timeline).

Is it a good idea to post new ones in the corresponding months topic? That way we people will only need to look at one topic

Not all applications are the same, circumstances of people are different and backgrounds of all applicants have to be checked.

Some backgrounds are easier than others to check, hence the different processing time.

Actually these two topics are just for tracking naturalisation processing time lines , one for application submitted in April and one in May..

Accurate method of calculating date for receipt of approval

Post by Kennavarro » Thu May 23, 2013 2:38 am

Disclaimer: This method will only apply to straight forward applications if your application has niggles and complex it will definately take as long as they wish probably up to half a year before you can say anything...
please also Bear in mind things can dwell for months on straight ward applications too or get done exceptionally fast which is usually a mistake than intentional...

Date of application= Useless whether by post or NCS.

1. Date of Acknowledgement(DoA) on the letter received is where things start its the real date of application....usually concides with date of debiting your account.
From this date(DoA) count a good twenty days to approve a straight forward application note: always round off to the nearest number that will act as zero
example 1.if your date (DoA) was 8/5/13 then for calculation purposes make it 10/5/13 in your head...another example2 (DoA) 3/5/13 then for calculation purposes make it 01/5/13 in your head
2. Date of Approval(DoAPP) taking example 1 above if if your date (DoA) was 8/5/13 then for calculation purposes make it 10/5/13 in your head then after twenty days internal approval by UKBA should be made on the 30/5/13(DoAPP)...which is the date(DoAPP) you will see on your letter of approval then it will take ten days to reach you in the post.
3. Date of receipt of Approval( DoR) using example 1 we can add ten more days to (DoAPP) making (DoR) 10/6/13 this is the very day the post man will come knocking on the door if your (DoA) is 8/5/13 ...most applications that are straight forwards will fall in this range...of course we give or take three days to make up time wasted tea breaks, small talk and bathroom breaks that UKBA takes.

Typical example of member who just got approved
Eligibility criteria: 2 year Tier 2 +3 yrs Tier 1 + 1 yr ILR
Method of application: NCS Ilford
Date of application: 3rd April 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA:
Date of acknowledgement: 10th April 2013 (DoA)
Date of debit of fees: 9th April 2013 (DoA)
Date of approval: 10th May(DoR) dated approval on 4th May(DoAPP)
:)

Good luck folks just work out your own dates and kick back knowing exactly when Mr Post man will come knocking ...

How do you define as complicated application? In our case we requested to slightly change the first name. (Nothing drastic.) So for e.g. Rahulbhai Sharma needs to be Rahul Sharma. Is this counts as complicated (or with niggles)?

Was it a straight forward application ? Have you ever had any criminal offense or any kind of fine or records like that ? When they debited money from your account ? As it is over 6 months so best option is write a email to them and lets see what reply you get. If they dont reply then after 10 days phoned them. And they will probably tell you the current status of the application. They can take as long as 1 year or even more as there is no time limit but normally they give decission within 6 months. And always be polite with them as it is our interest to become British so we have to have patience, but I know how hard it is for you to wait for a decission month after month. And I would like to ask you send an email to your local MP and seeks help to speed up the aplication and may be you can also send them a cover letter requesting speed up your application. And if ypu sent all orginal documents, ask them to return it however that wont help to speed up but it will help to travel or seeking new job or open a bank account or as a ID process. I strongly wish your success.

In 2 weeks time it will be 6 months for my husbands application, still nothing don't know why it has taken so long. He applied on 11/12/2012. One of his friend who applied after him got it in 4 weeks time. I understand each and everyone's case is different but 6 months is a long time.
