Visa for Family?

Post by ca4nul » Fri May 24, 2013 11:36 am

Hi Guys

I'm on Tier 1 G visa. I want to apply visit Visa for my Parents. Should i apply for General Visitor Visa or Family Visitor?

Second question how much bank statement i need to maintain.

Any links to appropriate documentation will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your help

You can apply under general visitor category. For that you need to produce your passport copies ,Visa copy, rental agreement showing your accommodation, your employment and income details such as payslip, bank statement letter from the employer. You have to produce the invitation letter , declaration and sponsorship letter.Which should clearly mention the requirement to bring your parents here.Even if there is no well defined amount for maintenance if you are able to show 2000-3000 £ for one person in your bank account for maintenance purpose while they are in UK that would be fine.

Thank you all for your reply.

One more question; if my bank statement is not good enough can they sponsor themselves? or co-sponsor themselves and if yes then do i mention this in invitation letter?
