ILR Success - Solihull - with unpaid absence

Post by hsmpguy1234 » Thu May 30, 2013 10:26 am

Hello All,

I know there have been many posts around this issue, but I am posting another just to help someone looking for some more positive energy ... :)

So here it goes:

HSMP - 2008-2010
Tier 1 G - 2010-2013

Documents:
12 months payslips
12 months bank statement
Life in the UK pass certificate.

Left section 6.3 of the form blank, as none of my leaves was work-related.

I had around 2 weeks of unpaid leave/absence and around 3 weeks of absence from the UK while I was between jobs. Total absences in 5 years around 210. The CW did ask to confirm that none of my absences was greater than 180 days in a single year, but no other questions.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Hi, congratulations :D

I have my PEO on Monday, think I am over preparing myself!

One question, will I be allowed to make calls in the PEO office? Just in case if debit card payment doesnt go through or anything I could call my bank on the spot? (I enquired but bank can't pre-authorise/premark payments in advance)

In any case the debit card fail , will I be allowed to try credit card on the spot?

at Croydon PEO, you can make calls. It should same in other PEOs too.

Congratulations to original poster. I have been always looking for cases where absences of less than 180 days were not supported by any letter from employer.

Cheers!

@kapilc

I didn't specify any reason at all.

Infact I didn't specify that any of my absences was unpaid, as there is no such question on the application form.

Yes, I had a separate letter from my employer mentioning the unpaid absence and a letter from myself explaining it, but that was not asked for by the CW.

@black_bird
Yes, I was able to read a couple of text messages from friends while CW was gone for payment. I'm not sure what is the policy about taking calls while you are at the CW window.

@everybody else

Thanks for your wishes ... :)

Congratulations!

A question regarding 6.3 section that you left blank. Are you saying we need to fill that section up only if we break the 180 days rule?

@gre.bm691

No, I'm not saying that.

My understanding is, and I can be wrong, that I need to fill section 6.3 for work-related absences, and as I didnt have any, I left it blank and I was not asked anything by the CW regarding that.
