I am currently with Tier 2 general Visa and a resident of United Kingdom.I have an enquiry with regards to my ILR date for applying.

My initial UK visa is stamped on: 14th May-2008 in (India) ...it says uk entry clearance ..valid from 14/05/2008 valid till 14/05/2009
Date of first entry to UK: 28th Jun- 2008..

therefore I came to united kingdom on 28th june 2008 ,but my visa was ready and stamped on 14 th may 2008.

Can you please confirm the date and month when can i process my application for ILR.

If you need i can forward you the scanned copy of my visa..

Your clarification regarding this will be highly appreciated.

There are like two million people asking the same question. A quick look at the recent questions would have helped.

Read the following snippet from Page 11 of Guidance –ILR – calculating continuous period in the UK

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period, as long as it does not exceed 90 days. This can occur if the applicant is delayed travelling to the UK. Provided the period of delay does not exceed 90 days, it will not be counted as an absence.

You can apply within 28 days from completing your 5 years in the UK (include the period between EC date and entry in the UK)

Hi,

I am trying to apply for ILR.

I came on 10/10/2006. Went back to India on 20th Mar 2010. My visa expired on 20th Apr 2010. Next visa got stamped on 25th May 2010 and cam to UK on 25th June 2010. I am in ICT. Could I apply for ILR ?

All along same employer.
