PSW -TIER 4 (PHD IN COLLEGE)

Please can anyone advice on the ground the UKBA have to refuse application for Tier or carry out extra scrutiny on Phd applications in private colleges that are validated by the Universities.

I am currently on PSW and intend to switch to Tier 4 after its expiry, but the information received on this process makes me uncomfortable. I think, it mostly concerns applicants with long UK residency from 7 years and above.

Even the college officers gave such blunt advice to pursue the Phd in University.

what is your previous history in uk and which discipline you had your last studies?
