Technically u would need 53 payslips for weekly job n 12 for monthly under category B..

Gross pay to date on payslip is 14k... Hmm not sure if eco will consider that.. He should..

Did u provide p60
No I got my P60 last week. it doesnt issue in march.....

We should insh'Allah have some news this week. The UKBA website says that if you don't get an update within 3 months from your application date you should contact Gerry's who will then contact the BHC for an update.

The worst thing is, the decision has probably already been made!

You should ideally be looking at something by 08/08/2013. That is the maximum 12 weeks of waiting. However just to be careful I would add an extra week due to the Commonwealth games http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... alth-games

Before us March applicants the application time was ranging from 9 - 10 weeks.

The decisions are probably made within hours of looking at the file... most likely made by some temp. Some of the horror stories read on this forum are worrying. I’m sure in the past if the UKBA had any queries they would contact the applicant for additional information but now it seems like they would just refuse and expect applicants to appeal or reapply.

Why is it that we keep hearing some cases decided within few days n weeks.. Is it not done in an order.. First file is dealt first..

Spouse Visa

Post by glasgow15 » Mon Jun 03, 2013 3:02 pm

I can see people are questioning about visa processing time for their spouses. Let me explain you how this works which is shown on UKBA website too. My wife applied for her visa on 14/05/13 and the status from the next day showed "application forwarded to islamabad OC" until 28/05/13 when it suddenly changed to RFC. Though she has not collected her visa yet not sure what is the decision; however, higher chances are she got her visa she was renewing her visa. She was issued for 2 years initially and we lived couple of years then she had to go back to PAK to meet her parents to show my lovely little. The key thing in application process is the type of application is being made, i.e., if it is Tier Visa Dependent category the higher the probability to receive a decision within 2 weeks. However, if the applicant is making application under 'settlement' dependent category, then UKBA performs strict checks etc. and it may take upto 2-3 months or longer.

Also, in my case, i emailed to Abu Dhabhi and Islambad office within a week after she applied asking them to expedite the process due to my wife's imp. appointment with GP, sent a copy of the letter too.

so if applied for settlement category, then please be patient, decision will be in your favor inshaAllah

Did anyone attach a sponsor letter to with their application?

I attached one written and signed by a solicitor outlining my name, occupation, income and housing (rooms etc)

Thanks for the info :) I suppose it make sense because of the checks. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it if it was quicker but I dont mind them taking their sweet time as long as it's good news in the end inshaAllah.
