EC in Nigeria

Hi Mayana,

When did u submit ur docs for EC, how many days did it take and where u called for any interviews? What docs did u submit as well?

I've just got back to lagos on monday 12th and submitted my docs on wed 14th at the VFS/UK-Vac office in lagos and was told it will take 12 working days.

congrats on ur EC, so when are u plannin to leave for the UK?

All document i submitted for HSMP
-Original HSMP letter
-6 month payslips
-Tax clearance certificate
-Bank statement showing salary
-Bank statement showing savings
-Proof of accomodation with utility bill
-Landed property document
-U.K professional body letter (RICS)

Dependent

My wife
-Marriage certificate

My son
-Birth certificate

I hope this satisfies your finding.

Hi Mayana,

Thanks 4 the info.

Submitted my Tax clearance (P60), letter from former employer stating how much i earned while workin 4 them and savings bank A/C. But didnt include my payslips of bank A/C showing monthly salary.

I hope this would be sufficient though.....Were u called for interview, how long did it take (12 days) and how many years were u given?

Naija guy,
Payslip is one of the requirement to compliment your bank statement, it will help to justify your financial claims. I was not called for interview, i have 3 visa already from british embassy b4 now and was issued two years along with my family. My application took a little over 5 weeks.

Thanks for the information. i was told it takes 12 working days and should check back by then and its just 1 wk since i submitted it, hope it wont take up to 55wks like urs cos currently studyin for my Master (student visa) and thot i shud come to lagos quickly and sort it out.

Will let u know the outcome, hopefully next week.

Got my EC visa today.....tookm 12days in all. Did they return ur original HSMP approval letter to you cos mine was returned to me but my bank a/c statement, parents bank a/c statement, letter from my UK uni statin my degree was taught in English wasnt returned though.

Congrat, all other document ws returned back to me(refer to my previous mail outlining my document) except my back statement.

Your application was faster cos you submitted in lagos mine was in Niger-Delta Nigeria.
