My Mother Visa got rejected -

Post by challa78 » Tue Jun 04, 2013 12:17 pm

Hello Guys,

My mother visa has been rejected last month, they had mentioned the reasons like below (similar order)

1) Unknowingly i had submitted my application as "Family Visitor" -later i
realized that i shouldn't use this criteria.
2) I have stated my mother as unemployed, but mentioned some income
from rental (as she owns a house in my native place) in the application
and also i have transferred 2 lacs of rupees for her
expenses[Paragraph 41(i)(ii) HC 395 as amended)

Now i want to apply visitor visa for my mother again, Can you guys please suggest me the ways so that this i will get her a visa.

Many thanks
Challa

by showing her strong social and economic ties to India. We don't know her so can't indicate what evidence she may have to support this.

Hi Lucapooka,

thank you very much for your quick turnaround but thing is

My Father is a Govt Employee, so i can provide some evidence to that but the question is do we need to provide clarification on the points which the visa was refused initially?

Many thanks

Could you suggest why not use "family visitor" visa for mother?

Because that category of visit visa is limited to the family of settled residents. Families of migrant workers and/or students must apply in the general visit category. Of course, none of that really matters as the conditions are the same and even the right or appeal (perhaps the only advantage of the family category) has now been removed.
