switch tier2 ict to tier2 general

Hi All,

I was in Tier2 ICT for 4years and wanted to change to tier2 general, to achieve that i did the following:

Tier2 ICT valid till july 2013
switched to tier2 general in april 2013, with start date as 14 may 2013

resigned from tier2 ict company with last date as 15 may 2013, went to india on 12 may 2013 to finish off leaving formalities. Took 10 days off in india till
27th may 2013 and returned to uk on 28th may and joined the new company

my question is, have i broken my continious period for ILR , by taking 10 days off in india from may 16 to may 27th, pl clarify?

IMHO this also applies to cases like yours where the application to work for a new employer was made before the previous employment finished.

Thanks, for your prompt response, is it correct to assume that i can have a maximum of 60 days leave between 2 jobs ,even if i switched my status before the expiry of my previous leave as in my case.

Why are you asking about whether a 60 day holiday out of the UK between jobs will affect continuity of resideence when you only took a 10 day holiday?

I just read the document you referred where its mentioned , 60 days or less,
just to clarify my understaning

If I come to UK on Tier2 ICT which is valid for 12 months can I switch to Tier2 General?
