Please guide regarding approval letter

Post by apple82 » Sat Jun 08, 2013 12:05 pm

We applied on 27 march by Royal Mail SD, received next day as joint application.

This morning I received documents (we send return SD envelope) which includes both passports and marriage certificate. & a letter which says:

"I am pleased to say that your applications have been successful and you both will shortly receive certificates of naturalised as british citizens".

my understanding was that they send letter of approval and then we need to book ceremony to get cetificates, isn't it work that way?

Please guide, do we need to wait for approval letters before we book ceremony? or go ahead with booking it?

thanks.

wait for couple of days - other letter(s) (formal approval / invitation ) will arrive in due course - most probably sometime next week but may take a bit longer.

yeah thats what I was thinking, because this sure doesn't look like approval/invitation letter.
