OCI online application difficulties

Post by bbkaran » Mon Jun 10, 2013 1:23 pm

Hi all,

It appears that I am the only one experiencing this difficulty:

Filled in Form-A for myself. When I chose to register for the family members and clicking the appropriate button for their relationship with me, I don't see any button like "submit" or "next" to progress to the next pages. I tried this with both firefox and IE.

I must be missing something obvious. Please help.

bbkaran

PS:
If I choose "NO" to register another family member, I then ave a "Submit" button to move on to next step.

Thanks for the tip. This does work. It showed the other relevant buttons.

Another difficulty though is that I entered all details for four family members for form-A and put in additional details for Form-B too (I think). When I pressed the submit button, I was taken to the main page. As if everything i entered disappeared into a black-hole. Any ideas?

The temporary application number search does not help either. It crashes after a while hanging. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Okay, I now understood your problem

I am exactly in the same state last week

Have you had any idle time before pressing submit?

You can just discard the application and fill in a fresh one, because submission of part a is not a completed application.

However, until HCI/CGI acknowledge the application it is not complete

So you are good to fill another one, make sure you dont leave any idle time meaning, being away for more then 2 mins from the action

thank you very much.

Does the acknowledgment come through the email?

I have not received any so I suppose I can fill new one.

Another question: Should I complete form-A and form-B online? Or just form-A online and print the rest.

Thanks

No it doesnt come through email. it is a long waiting game if submitted in Post, roughly 1-2 months and until then you have to watch

Submit both Part A and Part B online, however, it doesnt allow you to submit part B manually

thanks again.

what about the photos? In part-a there appears to be an option to upload photo. what happens if you upload and what is the consequence if you dont? would uploading photo makes it any simpler?

Unfortunately, I still have no luck with the online application form. After several attempts I thought I was getting somewhere. In the last attempt I filled form-a for all four but the summary page showed only for three of my family members (mine is not shown).

In another attempt I managed to get to Form-B where the system crashed complaining "object error".

I have so far tried about 20 times. Is this normal.

I am concerned if the system will think I am a robot try to to attack.

Thanks
