Timeline for employer obtaining a sponsor license

Post by Mayski » Wed Jun 12, 2013 9:51 am

Hi all

I'm currently on a Tier 1 PSW visa, hoping to switch to Tier 2 General. My current visa expires 25th October 2013. My employers have agreed to sponsor me and will start the process next week. Could someone please give me an indication as to how long it will take them to register as a sponsor, and how long it will take for them to assign me a certificate of sponsorship, before I can make my application?

And what would happen in the event they aren't able to assign me the CoS on time/before my current visa expires? Do I have to leave the country and continue my process from abroad, or do I have other options?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
