Yeah I wonder what's going on. I hope they haven't misplaced our applications...or maybe people of certain nationalities are scrutinized more than others.

Maybe it'll be worthwhile to put on the timeline our current nationality to see if there is a trend.

Its been 2 months for my app...so kinda giving up hope that it will be done quickly. So many other apps getting done within a month or so.

Like many others here mine is a straighforward case as well.

It's strange, it seems as if the early April applications are being delayed. I was lucky; I applied 12th April so it wasn't too early. But even still, my application took slightly longer to approve than many who applied in later April and May.Those who applied early April applied just before the fee increase. Maybe it's something to do with that.

IMPORTANT NEWS Hi all,

I just attended my daughter's citizenship ceremony today - 12th June 2013 and heard from someone that her approval letter was sent to her referee and she found out from them.

Just wanted to let you know to keep in mind in future checking with your referee too.

Method of application: Special delivery post office
Date application sent: 9 April 2013
Date of receipt by UKBA: 10 April 2013

I think its too early. You have to wait. I know its difficult , been through this but i guess you have to wait for 4 months before you contact your MP at earliest.
Best of Luck

It's way too early, especially to be contacting an MP. You haven't even attempted to contact UKBA and you want to go to your MP? You'll just be wasting your time and theirs. Its clearly says on the UKBA website, 'please allow UP TO 6 MONTHS to process your application'. It's been only over 2 months. Have some patience.
