90 days a stretch rule

Post by developer101 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 1:33 pm

Is 90 days absence rule still applicable for ILR? In new rules I dont see it anymore. Not even in the ILR forms. Please explain.

Thanks

Under what category are you applying for ILR?

Yeah, it's still applicable :D !

I had a panic few days ago and was looking for it too. It's in the calculating continuous period in UK document, page 21.

You can navigate from the UK Border Agency/ Home office website by clicking on Policy and law - Staff Guidance, instructions and country information - Modernised guidance - other crosscutting information (last document on the page)

The relevant documents for ILR are all over the place on the website, one just needs to search - painful!!

Oops!! Hope I didn't misunderstand the question!! Is the 90 days absence you're looking for the same as the 3 months concession (90 days delay in initial entry into the UK)?

My "link" is for the later :D !

Permitted absences are 180 days per 12 month period for job related or other compelling circumstances.

That is actually something different. Thats when getting the visa and entering first time to UK.

I am talking about when a person entered in the UK and then went out and lived abroad more than 90 days at a stretch. Is that rule still applicable? I knew it was before but is it still now?
