What time should I queue at HCI London to apply for OCI

Post by desilemons » Thu Jun 13, 2013 6:16 pm

Dear all,

I am due to apply for an OCI in-person at HCI London. So I was just wondering what is the earliest and latest I should reach HCI in order to get my turn on the same day please.

I guess this question applies to later on as well for passport collection?

Many thanks in advance.

you need to plan atleast 4-5 hrs for submission.
if you queue at 6am ish-, then you'll finish by 10am ish
if you queue at 730am ish, the you'll finish by 12:30 ish
now plan accoordingly.

collection is pretty easy, just submit anytime before 12:30..don't arrive too early as you have to queue unnecessarily and then come again between 430-5pm to collect

Not sure what date you did yours. Was there last week and many folk were not finishing til much later. it is a bit awkward outside at the moment due to scaffolding and there are 2 queues. They let the OCI applicants in first even if they got there later than those in the other queue! But everyone all ends up in the same place downstairs, not for the faint hearted.

OCI

I stood in the Q at 6 AM and my token as number 3

I have finished by 9:45 AM

The only situation I have seen quite embrassed is, people stand in front of the counter although their token wasn't called and try to hijack other applicants whose token is next

For example, token number 2 is being served and token number 3 sitting in the chair, but token number 8 stand near the counter with an impression that they can give applciation immediately without calling number 3

This is quite ackward, however, the good thing is, HCI is checking if the next token is in there or not :)
