Many Thanks for quick support guru.
At the moment iam on Tier 1 general visa valid till Jun 2016.in Oct 2013 Im eligible for 10 years long residency.

When I was in SEGS(expiry 19/12/2007). My Tier 1 & Tier 2 applications has been refused and later managed to acquire student visa starts from 04 April 2008 to Aprill 2010.

From 19.12.2007 to 04/04/2008 I don't have any visa status due to this refusals & decisions from Home office. In mean time was in UK was waiting for student visa. Does this effect for my 10 years long residency application.

I believe now SET(LR) is right form for 10 years long residency.

Expertise support much appreciated...
Any advises & examples would be great.

From 19.12.2007 to 04/04/2008 what was your immigration status were you appealing? Was the appeal successful?

Great thanks for your support Guru..
When I was in SEGS(expiry 19/12/2007).
1) Applied for Tier 1 General in sep 2007 for just approval with out passport(we use to have approval stage & visa stage isn't).Received refusal before SEGS expiry.
2)Applied for Tier 2 by Nov 30 and was waiting for just approval & I had passport at that time. As I was reaching to SEGS expiry, I had to send passport to work permit before approval. Next week received Tier 2 refusal and passport was sent to HO. And took 5 weeks to get my passport back.
3)In mean time due to passport was still with HO, I applied for student visa without passport. As soon as I received passport from workpermit dept ,I send to Student dept. And I got student visa for next 2 years. Hurray :)
Then PSW & Tier 1General .
I was in country switching different categories.
It was a bit of tragedy of my life.

Does it effect 10 years LR?

Kind support much appreciated.

Had your visa expired when you applied for the student visa?

And how long did it take from your visa expiring to being granted the student visa?

Cheers for your reply.

SEGS Expiry date 19.12.2007
Student visa: 04/04/2008

Approx 3 and half months.

Does this rejections or gap effect my 10 years ILR?

Please advise?

Long residence and private life Page 17 wrote:"Gap(s) in lawful residence
You may grant the application if an applicant:

 has short gaps in lawful residence through making previous applications out of time by no more than 28 calendar days, and
 meets all the other requirements for lawful residence."

When did she apply for PBS dep visa? If you apply for set(lr) she will have to change to flr(m) and once qualified set(m) for settlement.

She applied in May 2013(Tier 1 dependent) which is valid up to 3 years.
And she entered in UK in Aug 2010 on PSW dependent.

Please advice?
