ILR application with girlfriend ???

Hi All

I would like to get your opinion on one issue if possible.

I have been in the UK for 4y 10months through Work permit. I have recently switched into Tier2 visa. I will be eligible to apply for an ILR in two months.

I have a girl friend. We are not married yet. She has been in UK for about 3.5 yr altogether (22months with visa , 1,5y with Ankara agreement (specific to Turkish migrants)). She is on the Ankara agreement visa now. We have only been living together for the last 1 year but never bothered to collect any cohabitant documents. We plan to marry officially in the next month.

My question is :

Will she be eligible to apply ILR with me ?

No as she is not your dependent for the purpose of your visa. As far as I am aware after 4 years under the Ankara Agreement she will be able to apply for ILR.

If she becomes my dependent , will she be eligible to apply with me ?

or does she need to spend some certain amount of time on the dependent visa ?

No. 5 years required under dependant status.
