Fee amount for PEO appointment

Post by iubus2005 » Mon Jun 17, 2013 2:47 pm

Hello,
I am applying for an extension of Tier 1 general. I made online appointment and paid 100 GBP for the online appointment. The question I have is, when making the postal order for payment in person at the PEO, what amount should the postal order be for? Should it be for full fee amount of 1,920 GBP or 1,820 GBP (100 less than the total, given it is already paid for online appointment.)

Thank you for the help.

Hello everyone, any help from anyone who has used PEO appointment and also paid the online booking fee of £100 in advance?
It is a little urgent, and I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Tier 1 application form page 4 states,

"For applications made in person at a public
enquiry office, the total fee includes a £100
appointment fee...."

My understanding is as you have already paid your £100 appointment fees then you just need to make draft for £1820. Please also bring evidence of your £100 payment invoice. In case if you need to show them as a payment proof.

Trust this clarifies your query.

Hi Arsal385,
That is what I thought too, but I don't really have a receipt for the payment yet. Do you know how long it takes them to send the receipt and how?
I wonder if I can make two postal orders of £1820 and £100, just in case.

Read this person's experience regarding croydon PEO, where he was clearly asked about the appointment letter/receipt of payment and then he paid remaining amount of £1820.

If you are still uncertain then make £1820 postal order and can pay remaining £100 by debit/credit card which is highly unlikely(as you have already paid £100 appointment fees) but just in case for your peace of mind.
