Visa finally approved

Post by acaahg » Tue Jun 18, 2013 11:42 am

Hello everyone,

This is a little ray of hope for the many who are still waiting for their visa. Mine was approved last week (12.06.2013) after 8 months of constant emailing and chasing up.

Date of application: 25.10.2012
Date of biometrics: 13.11.2012
Numerous phone calls inquiring about progress
Date of complaint: 25.04.2013
More phone calls inquiring about progress and where is my complaint response?
Deadline for complaint response: 16.05.2013 (surprise no response!)
More complaint emails + fax: 21.05.2013, 25.05.2013
Date of email to MP: 25.05.2013
Date of approval: 12.06.2013

No request for any additional documents or interview.
Switching from PSW, 50K funds held in UK, Maintenance fees held in joint account overseas, Job is Marketing Consultant, director of own consultancy.
All documents returned to solicitor and I am due to collect soon!

I am very happy and very relieved but it was possibly the most stressful situation I have ever had to endure in my life!

Please feel free to ask anything you want and really good luck to everyone else who is waiting.

I collected my passport, original documents and BRP card from my solicitor just a few hours ago.

So happy!

Someone from the MPs office got in touch with the Home Office to inform them of the delay and to inquire about progress and I don't doubt for a second that this has helped but obviously getting in touch with the MP needs to be done after complaining and not receiving a response or receiving an unsatisfactory response.
