Just to help others, my son's amended certificate was received today by us, so it took roughly 4 weeks from date that the certificate was sent back to home office due to wrongly spelt name.meemyself&I wrote:Eligibility criteria: section 1(3) for 2 children
Fee paid: £827 (managed to get it through before the increase in fees)
Method of application: Sent by myself without NCS - 04/04/13
Date of receipt by UKBA: should be with them by 05/04/13
Date of debit of fees: 12 April 2013
Date of receipt of acknowledgement:
Date of receipt of approval: 16.5.13
Date of receipt of documents: 16.5.13
Date of receipt of registration certificate: 16.5.13
Documents and registration certificate received same day, however, there is a mistake on one of the certificates, so i will have to send it back. Never mind, we are close to getting this phase sorted.
THANKS to everyone for all your support on this forum.
Next step is going for their passports. Thanks again to this wonderful forum.
PS: I did not send the original birth certificate when i was pointing out their mistake to them, only a copy was sent along with a letter notifying them of the wrongly spelt name, as they must have taken a copy for their records when the original was sent to them first time round. Having said this, one cap does not fit all, but just thought I should share this.
