Clements Worldwide Insurance

Post by smandala.in » Sat Jun 22, 2013 11:42 pm

Hi All,

My apologies, if this is not the correct forum to post the request.

I am looking for some guidance for taking a car insurance in UK.

I am an expat staying in UK and planning to take affordable car insurance and found clements worldwide(http://www.clements.com) which are providing insurance for 650 pounds compared to others which are quoting starting from 1600 pound for the same.

There Address in UK :
40 Lime Street, 4th Floor
London, UK EC3M 7AW

Head office is in US
One Thomas Circle NW
8th Floor
Washington DC 20005 USA

As per the information in website it say's about company as
*Clements Worldwide is a trading name of Clements Europe Limited. Clements Europe Limited is a UK based wholly owned subsidiary of Clements Worldwide and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority to conduct insurance mediation activities.

The insurance is underwritten by AIG EUROPE LIMITED which is
authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority
(FSA Number 202628).
AIG EUROPE LIMITED is a member of the Association of British
Insurers. Registered in England: company number 1486260. Registered
address: 58 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 4AB.

Other Details in this document : http://ukquotes.clements.com/resources/ ... siness.pdf

I have checked the firm number (504942) in MID (http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do) and it is registered. And also called-up financial service ombudsman and they acknowledged they are legal registered company.

The only question, i am left with is has any one come across applying any insurance claims with them and what is there experience. Will you recommend this insurance brokers ?

Please advise.

Thanks & Regards,
Surendra
