Husband working in Govt Job overseas!!!

Post by strager786 » Wed Jun 19, 2013 8:22 pm

My friend is in urgent need of help regarding spouse visa to UK:

He is working in a government public sector organisation. He is intended to leave his job immediately after getting the spouse visa to come to UK and live permanently with me so that we can start our family life.

Problem is that his employer will make his life harder if he knows that he is going to UK and employer will never provide permission to UK certificate even for holidays.

Do he have to resign from his work before applying for visa and provide his resignation letter from his current employer?

We went through guidance on website of home office regarding spouse visa and there is no clear directions on this matter. When some one is coming to UK for settlement as family member of sponsor in UK , how one can provide letter from existing education institution or employer relating to spouse visa application to live in UK permanently?

Guidance need following document:

Evidence of your current employment or studies:
This could include:

 a letter from your employer on company headed paper – detailing your salary and the length of your employment, confirming that you have been given time off work, and stating whether this time off is paid or unpaid. You should consider submitting further documents which could support an employment letter, such as, pay slips or tax returns. If you have recently entered new employment you should consider providing details of your previous employment and salary history.

 a letter from your education provider on headed paper –confirming your
enrolment and leave of absence business registration documents confirming the business owner’s name and the date when the business started trading

"•For government and private sector employees please provide a letter confirming your period of leave from your employer together with a work certificate"

Please help him in this important issues.

It seems your post here is not reflecting true picture of what is happening, you wrote your friend is one who want to apply for spouse visa, is he/she married to you ? if so,you the sponsor in UK will have to meet the financial requirements not your friend. Please go and read the financial requirements on UKBA website. If it will be the case that he/she is the one sponsoring himself/herself, then he/she will need to meet the financial requirements, but in ideal scenario, it is the sponsor that should provide all the documents. Good luck.
