Eligibility criteria: 10 years long term residency (Out of Immigration rules)
Method of application: Solicitor

Date of receipt by UKBA: Send by solicitor
Date of acknowledgement : n/a
Date of debit of fees: 15/05/13

Someone has the same criteria?
Send via solicitor because NCS Do not know how to fill out a form with such criteria, they said you have to wait 5 years from the date of receipt of ILR.
And I have no letter till now?

Congrats to all that received their approval !!!

Like a lot of people have already mentioned, I think they might be a trend. I applied early April 2013 and still waiting for a response from UKBA. Although my application is pretty straightforward (EEA national having worked in the UK for more than 6 years). so i do think that early April 2013 applications are a bit delayed.

However, I hope that we all get a response very soon.

Even though patience is one of my weakness. Grrrr

Hello All

I also submitted my wife's application on 20th April 2013, but no approval as yet. Anxiously waiting, but it appears that April ones are taking way longer !! Anyhow no news is good news I guess.

Just to let you guys know, I emailed the Nationality Progress team to obtain info, as my wife's application has been more than 2 months, whilst I got mine fairly quickly.

The first email response that we got was the automated response, however we got another response few days later, basically saying the same thing, but this was sent by a case worker, so we are hoping that they might look into our file now and hopefully expedite and not delay the process..!! But only time will tell.

Here is the email response:

Thank you for your email.

As stated on the auto-response, the Nationality Progress mailbox is only able to provide progress updates once an application has been with us for more than 6 months.

Your application was received on 22/04/2013 so this application is still with in our 6 month service standard - for this reason I am unable to provide a progress update at this time.

We aim to process 95% of applications within 6 months, although this does not guarantee that this case will be processed within 6 months – some applications do take longer. There is no maximum processing time, we will take as long as we need to ensure the decision we make is correct.

Congrats Need_Light, you have to book your ceremony now if you want to have your passport in the next 3 month because Barking is a pretty rubbish borough. It seems every one in the borough is applying to become a citizen due to the long wait there. When I wanted to apply for my citizenship in April, Barking NCS only have dates in July, I had to go to Wandsworths NCS and I got a date within two weeks in Wandsworth. I received my approval in May ending and the only available dates for ceremony is mid July six weeks after my approval.

Alhumdulillah...received my invitation letter 2day 29/6/13 dated 24/6/13.

Earlier in the week I had emailed the UKBA asking if they had sent any letters to me other than the acknowledgement letter. I received a reply 3 days later stating that a decision had been made on the 21st of June and a letter would be arriving shortly...which I received 2day.

I really hope all those waiting get theirs soon. It sux that some March and April applicants were/are stuck In longer wait times.

Ukforever and Racim...I used the following email address as suggested by others here in the forum:

NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

First they send you an auto reply with a disclaimer saying you may not get a response if application is less than 6 months old.

However, they replied to my email after 3 days.

Make sure to give them your home office reference number from the acknowledgement letter, your full name, date of birth, address, and nationality.

I asked them if they had sent me anything after the acknowledgement letter as our post was being wrongly delivered recently or if the application was still in progress.

They may or may not reply.
