PEO Solihull - How far ahead do they accept bookings?

Post by jjustyy » Sun Apr 29, 2007 5:12 pm

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if any recent visitors to the PEO in Solihull know how far ahead the earliest bookings tend to be and how far ahead they accept bookings? For example, do they have a window of 2 weeks starting a few weeks into the future, or something similar?

Thanks,
Justin

You can only book an appointment after first date of your 28day period.

Thanks, but this is not what I asked.

Anyway, I rang today - they were taking bookings for next Wednesday.

They normally give appointment date on the day starting from when your application is due/valid.(U have to phone in on this day) I.E if its ILR then they accept appointment requests from the 28day that your 5yrs is up. This in effect means that you wont get appointment at the earliest date that your application is valid and sometimes a little "white" lie about your application validity date when booking will get a quicker appointment - I've done it and so have some people I kno. I works!

Hi maibesa, would you please say it in detail? I only got photo copies of my Work Permits because my employers are keeping the original ones. So scared!

It does say in the PEI Process document:

http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/6353/1 ... rocess.pdf
Please note that we only accept original documents and any printouts must be validated (eg. bank statements by your bank).

If it is copy only Work Permits you are concerned with, I would not worry. After all the person looking at the application will have access to the BIA computer system and can such readily check the authenticity of the WP ... either photocopy or original.

Indeed I would expect the BIA computer record on you to give all the confirmatory detail that you would hope for, including your WP numbers.

Compared to say ... bank statements .. obviously the BIA person looking at the application has no ready ability to check out those.

Yes John, your analysis is reasonable. I just phoned my employer to borrow the original work permit. the lady in HR said: we have to keep the original, usually a copy of this is sufficient for settlement status.
but why Maibesa's application declined?

Well guys I'm still in tears bcause I thought they could check all my dtails online. The day at Counter 4 even phoned WP and they verified my status etc. I've made another appointment at Croydon tomorrow ,hopefully I'll have better luck there. I'm gutted but hey ,I'm not willing to post my application.

Went to Croydon yesterday and was granted my visa within 5 hours of arriving.I found they carried out thorough checks vs Solihull and they accepted the Work Permit copy. It's a shame I had to travel 140 miles to get it done . Will apply for naturalisation next year.
