ILR appointment - 28 days before WP issue or landing in UK ?

Post by vic » Wed May 02, 2007 12:27 am

hello all,

I know this topic has been discussed before as i did find a thread on it but it was inconclusive.

Do i book my ILR appointment in croydon 28 days before the date i landed in the UK on the WP or the date that i was issued the WP (there's only a 16 day gap in between the two dates but im a bit desperate to get this appointment over & done with).

Many thanks in advance.

Vic

The day you landed in the UK and not the date when the WP was issued...

thanks a lot olisum,

i was under the same impression - but just wanted to be sure after what i had read on another thread about someone successfully applying for ILR in B'ham 28 days before the WP issue date.

thanks again,

Ditto Olisum, its the date your leave to remain/enter was activated by IND i.e. stamp in your passport. In your case leave to enter as a work permit holder activated on date of entry into UK.
