Does New Rules affect Set (O) applications and dependants from July 1st 2013

I'm aware it won't affect main applicants english language skills but i'm just wandering what requirements needs for the dependants.

I have PEO appointment on July 17th and my wife is also applying for ILR as my dependant and her engineering degree was taught in English from JNTU India. How to compare it with UK NARIC and show it as a proof of valid english degree if the new rules affect dependants

I have very short time and please guide me if anyone applied or applying for ILR with dependants on or after 1st July 2013.

Well I m not an expert but the above NARIC stuff which you said dont think is applicable when you are applying for an ILR, all you need to do along with your dependent is pass the KOL Test, extract:

How do I demonstrate my knowledge of language and life in the UK?

If you are not exempt from the KOL requirement, you must demonstrate a good knowledge of language and life in the UK before you apply for settlement. Most applicants will need to do this by:

passing the 'Life in the UK' test, if they speak English to a reasonable standard, or if they are currently in the UK as skilled or highly skilled migrants; or
taking and passing a course in English and citizenship, if they do not speak English.

I must agree, it is bit confusing especially there is no new SET (O) form available to demonstrate any English language skills for dependent, except for passing Life in the UK test.

I'm applying for ILR this month as well, along with my wife, and to be on safe side, I think it is better to take her qualification certificate along with a sheet from point based calculator for it being recognised.

However, I'm more than happy to hear some views from experts for the analysis of this situation, where there is a vague or may be precise information that we are failing to understand.

I have seen http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... le-changes on July 1st 2013, in the news they mentioned about settlement but not in detailed.
