Switching Visa Status -Student to HSMP (Rules)

Post by VJR » Mon Apr 30, 2007 8:28 pm

Hi members,

I've recieved HSMP approval, but I am a bit concerned about going to INDIA for EC.I haven't done any degree, rather have completed Post Graduate Diploma. Will I be eligible as In-country Applicant? Will I be able to apply in person as premium service?

Please help with your experiences and guidances.

Thanks,

VJR

As per HSMP FAQs

"Student who has successfully obtained a degree level qualification on a recognised degree course at either a UK publicly funded further or higher education institution or a bona fide UK private education institution which maintains satisfactory records of enrolment and attendance;"

http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... /hsmp.html?

I think Post Graduate Diploma is not considered a degree level qualification. So it would be better to apply for EC from back home.
