English Language test

Post by Abate86 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:52 am

Hi everyone.

I have a brother who lives in Nigeria, but wanted to study Masters in Marketing in the UK. He has a Degree in Banking and Finance from Nigeria university which was taught and assessed in English and a Grade C in English equivalent (WAEC C4). My question is, does he has to do IELTS test or any other English language test to meet up with the UKBA English language requirement?

Since Nigeria does not come in the list of majority of english speaking countries therefore, he will need to pass one of the following english language skills test:

I spoke to a couple of universities and they said if the degree was taught in English and the person has at least grade C in English that is enough. I'm a bit confused. I will need advice from someone that has been through this process before.

Yes if it is university then university can use its own methods to satify english language which is correct. But if the student is applying from abroad then he need to recheck with their local embassy too whether they will accept it.
