Tier 2 ICT Established staff to Tier 2 G Query

Post by India_123 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 8:42 pm

Hi All,

I got my Tier 2 ICT established staff visa stamped on 2011 March15 and came to uk on 28th May 2011. I've renewed visa twice in UK (2012Mar- 13 & 2013Mar - 2015 Mar). after my first renewal my visa type changed to Tier 2 ICT Long term.

it would be great if you could help with these questions.

1. Am I allowed to swith to Tier 2 General visa with another sponsor company?
2. if I get job offer when should I give notice to my current employer. Suggestion given in other threads is to give notice once the visa is accepted. is it when we receive the passport/Residence Permit or do we receive any acceptance letter from UKBA? (I didnt receive any letters for my renewals as my employer takes care of it)
3. What are the documents/letters I need from new employer to apply for Tier 2 G?
4. if My Tier 2 G is refused, will there be any impact on my Current visa which is valid till 2015?
5. Do I have any chance of getting ILR once I switch to Tier 2 G?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you very much for the quick reply Manci.

One more question on the last point. when I switch to Tier 2 G, will the 2years period I spent in UK with Tier 2 ICT be considered for 5 years ILR eligibility? I read in some posts that I need to spent 5 years after I get Tier 2 G to apply for ILR? Please clarify.

Thanks.

I have received my Tier 2 ICT on 19th March 2010 and on March 2013 I have extended my Tier 2 ICT.

In the new bio metric card, they have mentioned as Tier 2 ICT LONG TERM.

Will be eligible to switch to Tier 2 General as my original Tier 2 ICT was issued on 19th March 2010?

Thanks for reply Manci. I have few more questions,

1.if I switch job inside UK to another sponsor, RLMT required or is it only for the candidates applying outside country?
2. I've taken english language test (PEARSON) in 2013 for my current Tier 2 longterm extension and sent this to UKBA. is this certificate still valid for my Tier 2 G (certificate says valid for 2 years)

Thanks

1. An RLMT has to be carried out unless an exception applies. See:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/busin ... t/#header2

2. The level of English required for T2G applications is B1 on the CEFR. The min level for your T2 ICT extension beyond 3 years was only A1 on the CEFR. Whether the English test you have taken earlier this year is acceptable depends on its level.
