non EEA Parents of British Citizen

Post by tom_hungston » Sun Jul 07, 2013 5:49 pm

Hello all,

I'm wondering if you guys can help me out, I'm a british citizen and I'd like my parents to come to UK and live with me as they're both now retired.

Q1 - Would they be allowed to apply for ILR or they would need to apply under different category...?

Q2 - how long does it take to process the application in general...?

Q3 - Can they apply whilst in UK or they have to apply from the home country which is outside EEA...?

I much appreciate your time and efforts in providing this help to me.

Many Thanks

Many Thanks mate, I have now read preety much the whole of the section and it seems that ILR would be quite difficult to apply.

Is there any other visa category that would allow my parents to come over and stay with me in the UK andwork should they wish to.

Many Thanks in Advance.

Perhaps the surrinder Singh route if they're dependent on you.
