How does a Civil Judgement Affect my application

Post by tittu » Mon May 07, 2007 1:29 pm

I have been on student visa in the UK since 2001, I have just received a work permit for 60 months as a teacher. I am currently filling out the FLR(IED) for the leave to remain and I have just noticed in Section 6 that I must disclose any criminal convictions (including traffic offences) or any civil judgements made against me. I don't have any convictions, but I have a County Court Judgement in respect of a debt I owe (for which a payment arrangement has been agreed), how will this affect my application?

Yes, if you dont and a check is carried out on you and found, your apps will be refused. Since you already have an arrangement to pay, it should be an issue. Can moderators clarify pls.

Tittu look at 4.4 of this doc. Though it refers to naturilisation i dont think FLR will be different.
