i know how you feel. they took 6 years to refuse my family ILR all the 6 years wait and all we got was a no . there should be a limit of time they can take to decide if they take more time than allowed than they should refund the money as they are paid to make decision not to sit and chill

That's what I'm saying if your not strong enough it can mess with some people mentally. Some people cannot work or some people loose their house because of this long waiting times.

It is all about the culture of the HO. If you do not know them, you will be stressed, depressed for nothing. Because I know them, I am not bothered as I know they will decide my application, one day. I am extending my visa and I have been waiting for 9 months now. Compared to my first application for which I waited 5 years and was granted a 3 years Leave to remain instead of ILR. I used to push them to give me an answer and when the answer came it was not what I expected. I was financially and morally drained. This time, I have decided to give them time to do whatever they want. I will wait for them and I am prepared for any outcomes because I am wiser. Please prepare strategies for possible outcomes that the HO can throw at you. Do not disperse your energy in frustration, you are a winner and stay that way. "We are all in the same boat"

@Sanni, Calm down bro, what else can we do? We have tried all possible means under the law to wake this UKBA up from their slumber ( MP, Ombudsman, Complaint letters) but all to no avail. The only option I think we have is just to pray and wait. I wake up every morning with high hopes and spirit, but once my mails are delivered and my documents are not there, I become a sad man. I have lost my job, my house and just living at the mercy of family and friends. May God help us!!!

Socrates, your comment really touched my heart, dont worry. God will surely restore everything you have lost,he will surely hear your prayer in no time and favour will surely be yours. The Lord almighty will fight your battles for you and you will emerge victorious, dont worry,it is well with you.

Homeoffice let my kids feel like illegals. Its nearly 2 weeks ago ombudsman contact them I thought I would of heard something by then. I'm wondering if its just that 1 caseworker whose issuing the indefinate.

I really don't think so, the ukba has to respond to the ombudsman within 10 days or so after which they will tell the ombudsman when they intend to resolve this. They told me they would resolve it within in 2 weeks and they did just 2 days short of the 2 weeks

Homeoffice sent ombudsman email on the 1st july about they gona do urgent consideration and get back to me shortly. But I'm still waiting lol I guess the caseworker whose dealing with my case don't know what the word urgent means.

In the news this morning, its gona take 37 years to clear the backlog by the time its cleared I would be 64 year old. Lol. They just change the name of the agency but in reality everything is still the same the amount of outstanding application there is in the homeoffice its astonishing. Smh
