under hsmp, can you work outside UK while being UK employee

Hi, I have come to the UK under HSMP. I have also been given extension after first yr.
My employer wants to send me for some assignment to outside the UK. I will be still be an employee in the UK and paying taxes etc in the UK. The short term assignment could be of 3-4 months during which I might be making short trips back to the UK.

Please let me know how this affect my status in HSMP and would it affect me when I apply for the british nationality after completing 5 yrs.

As per my knowldge , if u r paying taxes and NI in UK / TO retain UK employment u can work abroad as many days of yr contract , u need to document it.
