Thank you so much for adding your details to the June Timeline, ladybird2013!

What is your residency type, previous payment method and number of dependents?

Did you use any settlement service?

Set M cases tend to be processed quicker than Set O (please see Emrah's case above).

Pray hope some good news for you soon!

No I didn't use any settlement service Spring, but I've been so grateful to HO for its efficiency. To answer your questions, I'm on spouse visa, the only dependant applying for settlement. The payment was taken from my bank card.

Thank you for the prayer Sping.

Just like blessed Emrah, hopefully, good luck comes to us all!

Hi ladybird2013,

Thanks for updating the June Timeline with further details of your application. Came across yet another Set M application for ILR on another thread (please see attached above). Xyang's timeline is quite similar to yours, although unknown if he did use the SCS or not, but nevertheless, it seems not long now before you may have some good news for all of us!

With best wishes.

Yes we have been waiting 8 months now and no response even to going through our MLA to ask for my husband's case to be expedited.

Ours is a SET (M) application and straightforward case. I am a British Citizen.

Postal application for Indefinite Leave to Remain sent on 29 October 2012
Biometrics done 12th December 2012
DAT 1 form requested and done 11th February 2013

Hi ilr-tracker,

Set M applications used to take much longer in the past, but it is noticeably quicker in the recent years (please see above extracts from previous threads).

And Set O applications have in the past took a much longer time too, but looking at recent trends again (please see above extracts from previous threads), they are currently processed much quicker too.

There is hope. Pray and believe.

Hi Spring,
Just hoping & praying it comes fast... If I had come on this Forum earlier.. I would have never posted my application, would have definitely done PEO.

I would still suggest anybody who can afford should go to PEO..postal applications test lot of patience.

Further your 1 yr period for Naturalization would also get delayed depending on when you get ILR.

What's your take ...

This is wrong. Infact it is 15 months from Date of ILR application and only if the decision on ILR was protracted by no fault of the applicant then they qualify under Para 7.5g @ page 16.

Hi ilr-tracker,

My take:

Ideally, the ILR application process should involve a face-to-face consultation. Each applicant could make his appointment online, filled in a stratification performa so that complicated cases go to designated centres with senior support. Afterall, face-to-face consultation offers the caseworker the opportunity to gather information directly from the applicant and in the event additional supporting documents are required, the applicant is given the benefit of providing them on the spot, or within a certain time frame. Thus, minimising delays related to insufficient or missing supporting documents, providing both parties (CW & applicant) the opportunity to clarify any concerns and reducing the loss of time and finances related to litigation for both the applicant and government.

Regarding naturalisation: According to Annex B, Para 7.5g of the British Nationality Act 1981 (please see extract from Damanisshallo's thread above), one should be able to apply for naturalisation 15 months from the date of ILR application if the decision on ILR was protracted by no fault of the applicant.

Hence, in your case, you would be eligible to apply for Naturalisation from 04 September 2014, with the granted ILR - in time, something to look forward to.

Best wishes.

Post by gnpg » Tue Jul 23, 2013 4:57 pm

Hello
Which SCS did you go to?
I'm thinking about using the SCS but would need my ILR visa by November as I have a holiday booked. I thought I'd risk it and save money with the SCS.

I have a BRP card from my spouse visa, but do I need to do a new one for the SET(M)? Or do I just post my existing one in with the application?

Thank you.

Thanks Kevin.

I didn't find the SCS very helpful to be honest she wasn't very professional.

She was ticking unnecessary places on my form I was correcting her for the mistakes.

I was insisting to give her letters on my name and my wife name for the same month cos there wasn't joint letter for some months but she was like no no that's fine only yours will be fine.

The only good thing I found on SCS is they are making copy of your documents and passports and hand it to you back in the same day nothing else was special.

It doesn't worth £90 in my opinion.

Why choose by post over in-person

Post by immigrant_aa » Wed Jul 24, 2013 5:21 pm

Hi,

I have to apply for my ILR before the middle of September, and I have been considering going to the Home Office directly instead of sending it by post. I'd like to know why others on this thread sent their applications by post over going to the home office?

Not as yet; but I heard that there are good news - ILRs approved recently for some previous applicants eg TheGreenTea, SetO and Glyyde.

I am confident that the caseworkers are doing their best, so all in good time, ilr-tracker, we'll get our ILRs too.
