Try to email them on this address: NationalityProgress@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
They replied to me after 4 working days only weeks after I sent my application, so you might receive your response too. Give them reference number from your acknowledgement letter, your name, address and date of birth. Also email your local MP at the same time, s/he might be able to get info if they don't come back. Good luck.

I've just received one letter. The subject of the letter is "Citizenship Invitation". The first line of the letter starts with" I'm please to tell you that application has been approved.....".

Should I expect another letter....with subject "approval"? I'm also from a high risk country.

I'm not sure whether there is truth to this 'high risk country list' theory or not but even if there is, some of you guys are being rather impatient. A lot of you have only applied in June and are saying that your application is taking long. Stop basing your expectations on some of these recent applications that have only taken 2 weeks for approval. They are not the norm. UKBA says it can take up to 6 months so anything less than that you should see it as a lucky bonus.

Plus, these applications that are being dealt with very quickly are a recent development. If you look through the timelines you will see that applications before have taken anything from 1 month to 6 months. Sometimes more. I'm not from any of those supposedly high risk countries and my application took about a month and a half to be approved. And around the time I applied (April) that was the average waiting time. Some people who are claiming to be waiting for a long time it has barely been a month since you applied!

Your attitude is very unsympathetic for someone who has gone through the process themselves. How about being a little bit cooperative and empathetic instead of so unpleasant to those individuals who are feeling confused and nervous?

When someone has invested thousands of pounds and a great deal of energy in something so emotionally charged as a naturalisation application, and they see others around them getting a response far more quickly than they themselves are, then of course they are going to wonder. Tension is at its peak.

It would behoove everyone to relax and just embrace the wait; although it is human nature to speculate, it really does not do much good and will only make the entire situation more fraught.

For what it's worth, I waited about 3 months for my naturalisation approval letter, although this was several years ago. There are other things going on out there to keep us all busy

Just in case any one is interested: I work through my own limited company and by mistake underpaid tax for one of the previous years. I subsequently paid the correct amount and HMRC charged me interest for late payment. I was advised by this board (member D4109125) that this wouldn't be a problem and it certainly wasn't. hi i got IN10 driving coviction 5 years ago ,and i apply naturalization last week went to NCS they just tick the 3.6 - Criminal Offence box, did not mention any thing in any where ,but they did copy my paper driving license ,would this be ok or should i do some thing now? many thanks
