general visitor visa rejected - can i appeal again ?

Post by daggerhead » Mon Jul 22, 2013 11:32 pm

Hi ,

I helped my mother in-law to apply for general visitor visa and it got rejected on financial grounds.

UKBA had stated that she might over stay and also fund had been added to the bank statement just 2 days back . Actually i provided all the documents and i asked her to show her bank statement - she did a mistake of adding 2 lac rupees - 2 days before the date of appointment with VFS.

Can she appeal back with IT returns of my father-in-law .

Any thoughts ?

Thanks,

There's no right of appeal on financial grounds (90).

If your mother-in-law was visiting you and your spouse, then she is a family member and I am certain if she has been given the right to appeal, she can provide all sorts of evidence shedding light on the circumstances at the time of the application, and this circumstances could include her financial circumstances.

Thanks for the clarification.

My mother inlaw contacted one of the travel agency back in india - they said she cannot appeal.

Anyways she is checking with another travel agency who has helped many people to tour UK.

Why dont you listen to the experts here and not some dodgy travel agency in India. There is no right of appeal. She will have to reapply again
