Family visa refused due to financial Requirements

Post by dils4s » Mon Jul 22, 2013 11:39 pm

Hi,
I was a student in uk and got married here. Me and my wife use to work part time and our combined wages were 16,000. Also i had 16,000 saving
But my application is refused because i do not meet the 18600 requirement.
My court hearing is next month. One month before the application i got a job and now me and my wife are earning beyond 18600
Could any one please give some suggestion, how to defend the case.

What is the nationality of your wife? were you given a right of appeal? Do you have any children?

Based on you earning £16000, that ought to be enough with with recent High Court ruling. However, it's in limbo as to whether the SSHD will 1. Reduce the current threshold or 2. Appeal the decision. Your savings are irreverent as they only begin to count after £16000.
