Before you can complain to an Ombudsman you must have exhausted the complaints system with the governmental body and received either no reply or a final reply.

Complaints should be made in writing and sent via recorded delivery.

hi everyone i just rang home office and i was told that i have 2 outstanding applications. 1 is legacy application i made with my parents and sister as dependent in 2008 and other is flro i made last year. does anyone have any information on legacy applications. my parents were refused on that application but i am told that no decision has been made on me or my sister. seems to be really confusing

This is what I copied from their website:

UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk - we are likely to respond more quickly if you send your complaint by email; or
UKBA Complaints Allocation Hub
Lunar House
Wellesley Road
Croydon
CR9 2BY

So you dont think they will respond quicker to an email complaint, as they claim on their website?

So you just have to wait for 20 days for them to respond, if they dont ,then contact MO and ombudsman?
Its a bit confusing....

hello ali90.legacy application is the asylum application which your parent were refused on.i would advice you and your sister to focus on the legacy case because I think you guys have a good chance of being granted indefinite leave
