HeHeHe
This is as of end of Feb.
I guess in March alone they must have recieved 5-6 times more app.
Also if they calculate average by
number of apps awaiting decision / total time since they recieve by BIA formula then this is a mesleading statistics.

On the contrary we know that we are waiting for almost 1 month just to get the ack.

It make sense then. They recieve 5 times more app in end of March with average and average waiting time for these apps as 2 weeks and this big lot reducesd the total average to 2,8 month.
While we know for those who applied in end of march it will be increased by 1 month average

You are right no harm to call them. I will do it. I'm from Morocco. Do you think it affects the processing time of my application ?
Just keep us posted of outcome. this might come handy to other members. Even if they refused to look at your records.

I called the HO and they told me I should call them when my application is over 6 months, not now. They have too much bagloads. I don't understund why some of us have to wait so long.
I can do nothing just wait

Moving this to the main thread

This may be the wrong thread to post this. But here it is as it is to deal with nauralisation

I came to UK 0n 02-Jan-2002
company sent me to US in March-2002 for 2 months came back to UK on 01/May/2002
Got ILR on 06-Jan-2006
Applied for nat. on 15-March-2007
got letter from home office saying not eligible as I was not present in UK on 15/March/02

Now Ho asking me to re-sign the application with a date after 01/May/2007 add the extra £399.00 and resend the application.

I understand the rule you should be present in UK 5 years before the application date. I didn't know I have to be here on the exact date. does this mean they would have approve my application if I made it in Jan,Feb-2007.

yes this is a wrong thread but welcome.
there are 2 rules regarding minimum stay
you should not be out of mainland for more than x number of days
generally you will get some discount on this rule
2nd. you have to be physically present in this countr exacly 5 years before when ur app reaches them
and there is no discount in this rule.
even if u lived in this country for 10 years but if u are away on exactly 5 years before then u cant apply
it is a boolean condition
no flow chart
just yes or no
in the country exactly 5 years before ?
YES -- satrt processing
NO -- Reject application

hope this helps and good luck

Unfortunately yes but true.
See HO has to work on some guidelines.
and they have set this as a strict GUIDELINES.
I had to wait for over 7 months because of this stupid rule

TO MUSIC:

Hi, the best one in your case its apply By appointment only at passport office counters - guaranteed one-week Fast Track service, cost is GBP 91.00.
But you have to book appointment ASAP after your ceremony due to changes from 1 June 2007, first-time adult passport customers will no longer be able to use the fast track one-week service as they will have to attend an interview.
You can find all info on www.passport.gov.uk

Good luck!

have just received letter asking for new payment details, at the old rate (since my app was received before 1st april) so hopefully they'll get onto it sharpish now. had checked details, so not sure if a stalling tactic.

I got my partner to fill in and return the form for me as I'm currently out of the country - is that likely to be a problem?
