I applied for nationality end of June. 28th June and money was taken early July. I am spouse + ILR.
Spoke to home office this afternoon and they told me my application is "Pending internal enquiries" does that mean its with the caseworker? Anyone has a clue how long is the further wait from this point?
I appreciate your time and response.
Thank you
1. That they are still processing your application and need to make more checks and enquires to ascertain few things on your case.
OR
2. That they forgot about your application which went to the bottom of the pile and because you raised a concern, they have now pulled it out and act on it.
Hope this helps.
In which number did you ri g can I have the number please thanksAlsuwaidi wrote:Thank you Karnavati. The person over the phone said give it couple of weeks and you should hear from us. In my view, they conduct the internal checks and once the details come back the case worker makes a decision? I assume its been touched!

Try this ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk till someone can provide you with a number to call. Atleast this way you have traceability and proof that you have some communication history.abbei wrote:In which number did you ri g can I have the number please thanksAlsuwaidi wrote:Thank you Karnavati. I have just tried the number provided from NCS. It took me to a recorded message with options to choose if my application has been submitted within 6 months or over six months, when I chosed the first option (which applies to my situation waiting for almost three months), I ended up with another recoded message then call ended. I wonder how did you manage to get to speak to someone ? ThanksKarnavati wrote:Try this ukbanationalityenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk till someone can provide you with a number to call. Well that's not very helpful to anyone else, now is it? Did you come here just to show off? Or can you actually provide any useful information?Alsuwaidi wrote:I know someone there.
How did you manage to speak to the home office if you just applied less than one month ago?Alsuwaidi wrote:I can't agree more. I spoke to home office couple of days ago and they said give it two more weeks and you will hear from us. I applied on 28th June.

You will receive an invitation letter from home office. After you receive the invitation letter give your local council a call to arrange citizenship ceremony.skyiswide wrote:Date of Application- May 1st (self-post)
Date of Approval- 23 July
Date of Received- 25th July by special delivery .
In letter they said ...pleased to say that application successful. And you will receive a letter inviting you to attend ceremony. And this is not an invitation letter. You should not contact local authority until you have received your invitation. If not received invitation within 2 weeks you should email.
Now my question is who gonna send me invitation letter. Home office or council ? Please advise me. I know one letter will come from council for book appointment with them for ceremony. But another letter will come from home office for invitation ? Please lete know.
Thank you . Thanks Allah I got it after waiting nearly three months. How long it could take to get invitations letter from home office. 3-5 days or more.Laxman wrote:You will receive an invitation letter from home office.
