Tier 1 (general) to Citizenship

Post by madarin » Tue Jul 16, 2013 5:28 pm

Hi,

Please let me know if I can apply for Citizenship directly after completing 5 years in Tier 1 General without applying for Indefinite leave to remain.

I have passed the Life in the UK and also have IELTS score for English.
I came to UK on 17th September 2008.

Thanks,

You cannot apply for BC if you dont have ILR and have held ILR for a full 12 months and meet all the standard requirements for BC! There is no way around this first requirement of ILR which is the "free from immigration control" requirement.

thanks for your reply,
But where is it mentioned. All it says is 5 years stay in UK.

Please can you advise, if we can apply to BC after completion of 5 years, instead of ILR.
