Passport expiring

Post by currydixon » Fri Jul 26, 2013 3:26 pm

Hello Guru

My wife will apply for her ILR based on 2 years completed on PBS dependent category. I have got my ILR approved already last year.

My question is My indian passport expire on Sep 2013. I am planning to apply my wife ILR in Aug 3rd week.

Does my passport expiry date can affect my wife ILR visa application?
Please note i will submit document just to support her not for my visa.

Please seniors advise.

It will not impact. However, I would advice to you get your passport renewed. Why delay renewal till last month. One can renew passport anytime, upto 1 year prior to expiry date. You should have renewed by now.

It hardly takes 10 days to renew passport if you apply in person. And even lesser if you go to collect at HCI.

agreed with Rajesh9pl. It took 7 days (from the date of application) for HCI to renew my Indian passport last month. You have enough time anyway. Why don't you just renew it from HCI nearby.

cheers

I think it's easier if you follow the link below. All info you need is in there. But bear in mind, you need to queue of early to get into embassy (if you are in London, but I guess it will be same for any other HCI in B'ham or other places)
