Court witness and 7 year student visa over

Hi friends.a friend of mind his student 7 year ends this august.he actually had a robbery at his place of work,n he was an eye witness, n the hearing is not until 14 jan,will immigration allow him to stay until then.or he has to leave the country??

He should get a solicitor to sort that out for him, otherwise it is necessary that one must have a resident permit to reside in Ireland and must not overstay the conditions of his Visa
