What did you wrote in your emails to gerrys?

I wrote the following:

Hi,

I was hoping to know about my husbands application for settlement I made on 15/05/2013 at Islamabad Gerrys for UK Settlement Visa.

The application number is ISL/1*****/******/*

I put down the intended date of travel for June but I have not heard anything yet.

I believe people after me have also heard back in regards to their application and was growing a bit concerned

Would you have any update about my application please?

I believe on the UKBA website it states the following:

"If our visa processing service is experiencing delays, we will publish a news story on this website to explain what is happening. You can find recent news stories on the right side of this page.

If we have taken more than 3 weeks (for non-settlement visas) or 3 months (for settlement visas) to process your application, and we have not published a news story to explain the delay, you can email the Gerry's, who will forward your email to us for reply".

There is no story published online for any delays, and I am growing concerned. You must appreciate the effort and hard work we go through collating our evidence and putting forward our case aswell as the great fee that goes with it. The immense stress that not only me but all applicants go through is very tough. Please do understand our situation also.

My husband was told within 12 weeks and still not heard nothing. If you are stating such things then I believe you must adhere to what you guide us.

I have also come to know that once documents come back to Gerrys, its taking a few days for applicants to receive texts for their RFC.

Could you please enlighten me on whats going on and what the delay is and where the problem lies?

Hello everybody

I have been reading some of the posts on here and it felt great to see many of you are in the same boat as me. All this time I have felt so alone. My husband had applied for his visa from Islamabad on the 3rd may and its been horrible waiting so long. I just want him to come very quickly but I guess I have to be patient and wait.

Reading that some people got their visa today made me happy knowing that soon my husband will get his soon inshallah and all those people waiting too

he said we are not supposed to contact them. If we do contact them, would it make a difference?

Dont think personally it does make a difference everyone seems to be getting standardized replies, but suppose for your own self conscious i would email them just so that you know you emailed and tried to get some input regarding your applicaition

Will i need to arrange a time with gerry so i can collect the returned document or can i just turn up???

And can anyone collect the documents?? My dad in pk submitted it for my childs hes in pk im in uk???

bro they can them self collect the documents at Gerry's office between 12:00pm-03:00pm . In case they cant show up, they need to download this specific form from UKBA website

and mention the name of collector and send him with original ID card+copy+receipt....
(kindly ask them to confirm this info before they send someone)

I called Gerrys and they were not helpful at all. The guy I spoke to said you have to wait 6 months for a reply and he cannot say when we get the visa. I was so annoyed and said I'm not asking for a conformation of the visa just from personal experience what do you think and he didn't understand what I was saying and said email the uk visa enquiries in Abu Dhabi.

I called gerrys too.. But they just told me tht visa processing time is upto 6 months...n kindly email BHC.. I am tired of this no1 gives u a satisfying reply.. It's 72 working days for me but no response

After my response from them that i posted above I further.emailed and said tell me more where what when. I've received a reply this morning saying hubby file is at bhc.Islamabad.

Does this mean it's returned from Dubai?
