How to recover the court payment receipt for citizenship

Hello,

A friend of mine applied for citizenship in Dec 2012. During the last week she has received a letter from citizenship to forward the receipt of fine payment in court back in 2006 and explanation of the what was the case about.

However this court case was a non conviction case as she has made a payment to court poor box on the same day in court and judge dismissed the case. However apparently in Garda system shows it was a fine. Since 2006 she has got two police certificate for the purpose of visiting visa to other countries from local Garda station which in both certificate clearly shows that she was not convicted of a crime while residing in Ireland. (She does have a copy of the both police certificates)

As over 7 years past since the court case she didn't hold onto the receipt of donation she made to court poor box on the day of the court. She has made an inquiry to the court office and they said, they are not sure if they can find that receipt issued 7 years ago but they will look into that.

She has also asked the local Garda station about the receipt and they said they can not issue that as its not being paid to them but to court directly.

Now the question is, if court office couldn't produce the receipt, what she can do?

She has wrote that letter and fully explained that the case was a non conviction case and possibly attach copy of the two police certificates issued to her after the court date.

Do you think it would be wise to send copy of those police certificate which is issued for the purpose of foreign embassy?

What would be implication of not sending receipt of court payment if she couldnt recover that receipt?

As she wants to do everything she can to recover that receipt from court office, but if at the end of day they cant find copy of her receipt where else she can go to ask for that receipt?

she should get a letter from the court saying there was no conviction and then take that to the garda station where she applies for a letter which states that there was no conviction. It has to be changed in the system in her local garda station, because the central vetting unit in Turles only see's what her local station has written, if they change it then it changes automatically in Turles. The process should take more than a week. Good luck.

Go to any District Court Office and tell them the date fine was paid they will issue the receipt if fine paid very easy and quick if fine was not paid you can pay the fine same time and they will issue the receipt and don't argue with the department it will delay the application.

i think the letter she got from inis should have date when the incident happened. with that date if she goes in the court she can get the receipt of that fine she had paid. no problem at all friend of mine was in the same situation and he got the receipt on the same day when he went to court. to process her application she must submit that receipt. dnt worry its not a big deal ... good luck

Just to give you update about this case

She received a letter from local Garda station to confirm that she has paid the donation to charity and case was dismissed by the judge.

Is this confirmation letter from Garda station suffice as both confirm the payment and dismissal of the case and no conviction recorded at all or she still has to go to court and request receipt of payment as well?
