Tier 2 General documents requirements

Post by Shaks » Wed Jul 31, 2013 12:05 am

Hi there

I am going to apply Tier 2 G change of employment via in person appointment. My wife and 1 year old child will apply at the same time for dependant visas.
New employer has completed RLMT and will certify our maintenance.
We are going to submit following documents:
1. Our current and old passports
2. Our Biometric Cards
3. Employer Offer letter
4. Print out of COS
5. My masters degree certificate
6. Our Marriage Certificate
7. Child birth Certificate

My Questions:
A. Would appreciate if you can advise if we should submit any other documents?
B. Also, this is the first time we are going to apply for childs visa does this make any difference?
C. Do we need to submit our passport size photographs and photocopies of above documents even if its in person application?

Thanks in advance

You can also include a cover letter mentioning your circumstances, etc. A good practise will be to include a table with list of documents, nature of points claimed and total number of points claimed.

For example, you said that your maintenance will be certified by the employer. You can mention in the table (CoS Certificate Copy enclosed). And then the number of points claimed.

How about English Language?

Anyway, remember to read, and re-read the form (and tick the correct boxes that you are claiming points for).

Other than that, your list seems fine, good luck!
