British Passport application, can I follow up ?

Method of Application: PO Check and Send
Date of Application: 16th July 2013
Date of fee collection: 16th July 2013 (Paid at the post office)
Date of Application acknowledged by IPS: 19th July 2013 (SMS)
Date of receipt of Interview letter: Waiting
Date of return of documents: Waiting
Date of Passport Appointment: Waiting
Date of Passport Receipt: Waiting

Hi Everyone,

As you see above, after two weeks I am still waiting to receive my interview letter. Based on the time lines in this forum, most people have receive it in less than 14 days.

Is there any way I can follow up my application ?

Date of Application acknowledged by IPS: 19th July 2013 (SMS)

It is not two weeks yet as IPS acknowledged / received application on 19/07 so two weeks will only be 02/08.

Bear in mind that July and August are the busiest times at the passport office and as a first passport application, you should be patient, as the guided standard timelines on IPS website is 6 weeks for first passport.

Phone the IPS if you want to follow up, but you will need your reference number which might be in your sms.
