Previous Passports - Data Mismatch

I live in UK on Tier 1 General visa, my parents would be applying for General visit in the coming days but one issue we are facing is that both of them have 2 old passports, and in those passports some information is not matching with the information in latest passports, like date of birth and place of birth, now what should we do?

1. Attach all the old passports while applying and hope embassy people will ignore it?

2. Don't attach the old passports, give there numbers and some other details in the application form and mention the status as 'Discarded'?

3. Or any other better option?

Please let me know as this a big cause for concern for us.

Fix the problem - get the information corrected.

Information in new passports is correct, and old passports are expired and cannot be changed.

1. Can we submit affidavits about the information in new passport being correct?

2. Second easier approach if we don't submit old passports and say they were discarded, would it be a problem in visa processing?

Do any of the old passports have UK visas or have been used to travel to the UK?

No, they were used to travel to USA and Saudi Arabia but not to UK

Well in this case you do not need to submit your old passports to ukba.
